Quinta do Pégo 2014
Late Bottled Vintage

Characteristics

Quinta do Pégo Late Bottled Vintage 2014 is a wine born from the 2014 harvest. The port is the result of a careful selection of red grapes from the old vineyards of Quinta do Pégo. The main red varieties are Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão and Sousão.
This port is ready to drink now if you want a young, concentrated and very fruity taste. But if you prefer a more mature and soft port, you should wait a couple of years - and then remember that decanting is necessary in order to avoid the natural depôt which arises because the wine is unfiltered. That is one of the reasons why it is possible to obtain this extremely high quality.

Colour

Nice ruby colour.

Aroma

This port shows delicate aromatic intensity with ripe fruits and balsamic aromas.

Taste

The taste is fresh and presents red fruit, plums and wild plants. Good freshness, silky tannins and good acidity provide perfect harmony and balance, and the port has an appealing, intense and persistent finish.

Ageing

4-6 years of wood ageing.

Serving suggestions

This port is perfect as an ”after-dinner-drink", but you can also enjoy Quinta do Pégo Late Bottled Vintage 2014 with almost all kinds of cheese, chocolate and candied fruit. Port should be enjoyed chilled.
